Are there any technical requirements to use Mitek?
Mitek is our trusted online identification partner, therefore no additional software needs to be downloaded.
Following browsers are supported:
- Chrome
- Safari
- Edge
- Firefox
- Samsung Internet Browser (latest versions)
Supported devices: any smartphone, desktop or tablet with an internet connection and are accessing the service via one of the web browsers listed above.
Kindly note that selfie capture, liveness capture and document capture via webcam are not permitted.
Are there any requirements to the file?
The document images must be clear and readable with all required detail visible. The images should be colour and where possible original scan/copies of the document. There should be no glare, white spots, black spots, overexposure, underexposure, blurriness, excessive cropping or obscurity that may interfere with the successful processing of the document.
- Dimensions of the file should not be smaller than 800 pixels width or height (whichever is the smaller value).
- Size of the file if allowed to be not more than 30MB per image upload. Minimum image size is 1MB per document.
- Images should not be more than 2 degrees rotated left or right. Furthermore, the image should not be more than 2 degrees off flat.
Handwritten documents are not supported, whereas typewritten documents have limited support also.
Are there any selfie requirements?
The selfie captured should be approximately arms length from the camera. Images taken too close or too far away could offer a poor result. Captured selfie should be directly facing the camera (90 degrees to the camera lens).
The selfie should not have any substantial lighting behind you. Kindly make sure you are facing the light to remove any shadows and exclude any over or under exposure from behind.
Please avoid wearing any obstructions including glasses, hats, hands, or anything that may obscure the facial features.
Required image size should be at least 640 x 480 pixels and should be taken within 10 years of the document issued date.
Can I change the language while uploading my documents?
To change the language in Mitek, simply click on the link for the document upload, scroll to the bottom of the page and change the language to the one preferred.
